Point Designs produces heavy-duty prosthetic fingers for people with partial hand loss to help improve their independence.

Point Designs specializes in producing heavy-duty partial hand prostheses. Years of development and discussion with prosthetists and patients led us to design our flagship product, the Point Digit, a prosthetic finger for people with full finger loss. An ideal solution for patients with near-MCP level amputations/differences, the Point Digit moves like an anatomical finger, is robust, and can be positioned without another hand (unilaterally). With it, we answer the need for a full finger prosthesis that can be intuitively positioned and used in heavy-duty environments. At a lower cost than a powered bionic prosthesis, and with more function than a cosmetic restoration, the Point Digit helps many find independence in their daily lives.

My Role:

I designed the Point Designs logo and branding style guide.

The Challenge:

I wanted to have a modern, clean and strong symbol to represent the brand. The Point Digit is a mechanical, passive articulating finger designed to be both lightweight and strong.

Goals:

Provide the Point Design team with the sophisticated brand to help them launch the product into the market.

Solution:

Our mission is to restore accessibility and independence to people with limb differences by providing heavy-duty, durable, and reliable prosthetic devices.
